About the event
About the Study:Â
We often desire to make a difference in our worlds, but find it so hard to do so: it’s often enough of a struggle just to stay afloat in a busy and demanding world, yet alone speaking up on complex issues, voicing unpopular opinions, and serving others. The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. has pastoral advice for people of goodwill struggling with how to convert conviction into action. Come learn with us over five weeks as we take a plunge into what he has to say!
About the Instructor:
David Lai first came across King’s religious works as a high school senior, and has had the privilege to keep thinking about King’s relevance for today over the past two decades. He has a masters in history from the University of Kentucky with a focus on religion and the civil rights movement, and since 2015, has been the assistant editor at the Martin Luther King, Jr., Papers Project at Stanford University.
